Creatively Speaking

Shortly more than a week ago I received an amazing email from Maya Road asking me if I would like to be on their Design Team.  Are you kidding?  This is a wonderful opportunity and one that I wasn’t exptecting.  If their was a scrapbook manufacturer DT to be on, this would be the one for me.  I just love making mini albums and altering anything.   Their products are the best with lots of variety.   I can’t wait to get started.

Well I have been on the DT for Sweet Pea Scraps since September 2006.  The November kit will be my last kit to design.  Here are a few of my October layouts.  If you want to know more about these beautiful kits then click on the link in my sidebar.

I put together a very packed mini album kit and brought one on our July vacation for my cousin Donna, my cousin-in-law Tiffani and myself.  We had a lot of fun making these and they were packed with items.  My inspiration was to have a mini book that had several of my favorite baby pics of James and Lauren. 

I looked at several mini albums before I chose one and Maya Road was my favorite.  I felt that way even before I was chosen for the design team.   They really have a wonderful selection to choose from.  It was very easy for us to take the pages apart to design and then add them back to the book.  I could not fit one more item in my book though.  I packed it so full that it barely closed. 

Wow!  So when I was pregnant with James, I designed a website (with Brad’s help, of course), but I haven’t done that in a while.  I thought it was time to begin a blog.  When you visit here you will most likely see lots of pictures of my family because I love taking pictures of my kiddos.  You will also see lots of pictures of my scrapbook pages and altered scrapbook items as well.  That’s my creative outlet.  I also hope to just add the ins and outs of our days and a peek into my life as a busy mommy and wife.  So here we go…
